The Torah contains some of the most awesome concepts buried in the most unlikely places. I believe that the reason for this, is to save the diamonds for those who would "mine" (intensely study) them. The jewels, so to speak, are not left out in the open for casual gathering.

>>>

Not that they aren't left out in the open, but that they aren't left out in the open for casual gathering.

The last place the casual gatherers are looking, is out in the open. It's an ingenious, paradoxical method of concealment, burial. Mine the obvious -- no crowds.

Case in point is his diamond metaphor at the very top of the page, so I did a quick keyword search in my study files for the word "rhombus" (knowing it was in there). It carried me right back to topics that I had mentioned upthread.

It's on the 176 list that includes:

88 x 2
Psalm 119 no. of verses
Philosopher's Stone [אבן החכמים]
great deliverance [פליטה גדלה] (Gen 45.7)
immortality [חיי נצח]
rhombus [מעוין]
solidus [סולידוס]
17616 = 30010 [ש]

I like that word solidUS. Yesod [יסוד] + Sol [סול].

Basic stuff on page titles, nothing to see there.

Just more of my rambling posts on a public forum. Nothing to see here.

Like the Torah being the greatest Country song of all time. People might laugh that off. After all, everybody knows that's supposed to be "He Stopped Loving Her Today". Here's the classic version.

It's the No. 1 track on the I Am What I Am album. Can't miss it.

"He Stopped Loving Her Today" is a song recorded by American country music artist George Jones. It has been named in several surveys as the greatest country song of all time.

Besides, if everything's supposed to be in there, where's the mention of pickup trucks. What's a country song without the pickup trucks. These guys knew:

Alabama - Dixieland Delight (Official Video)

The very essence of the Torah is a pickup truck:

Follow me. So easy. Takes the guesswork out.

"Say you'll follow me." ~ John Denver (who surnamed himself after the mile high city.)

To continue with the page about the stuff, er staff:

So, lets get some background on this staff. The first use of staff (Hebrew: matteh) is found in:

Bereshit (Genesis) 38:18 And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that [is] in thine hand. And he gave [it] her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.

In this first use of "staff", we see the conception of the kingly and Messianic line. Tamar has engineered this encounter to produce the Kings of Israel, and the Mashiach.

See, it's exactly like I pointed out at the end of this recent post about the reversed nun. Because, did you hear the one about the...?

>>>
* Now for those who do not understand what a reversed nun is, Willie Nelson already explained it, but you'll have to make it to the end of his song, which is about change.

(Oh I forgot -- you don't think I'm funny anymore.)
<<<

"I guess things change. And the more they change, the more they stay the same."

I could go on.

This might be a really good time for the potatoes to check under the couch cushions for loose change. For the atonement of souls:

(That's no quarter.)

The Torah contains some of the most awesome concepts buried in the most unlikely places.

If you had not have fallen
Then I would not have found you
Angel flying too close to the ground

And I patched up your broken wing
And hung around a while
Tryin' to keep your spirits up
And your fever down...

Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground

(A song about a great deliverance, what is the greatest healer.)

Thanks, Willie!

Stuff.

It's what Isaac told Esau to take, in order to go hunting.

The jewels, so to speak, are not left out in the open for casual gathering.

Of course, none of it has anything to do with King Arthur.
