Or call a lockout service, Wrecker service, have a spare Fob and hope the real problem isn’t the lock system on the vehicle. Some Police departments will help you with a Slim Jim.

If I could find and afford one I’d have an old car that has good old fashioned key locks.

I learned the hard way to carry an extra car ket, without a remote or the chip 8n it to start the car. The car had “child safety locks”, which apparently means that anytime you are least expecting it, the car will lock you out. I had a key made that just unlocks the doors and trunk, and now carry that with me all the time. It won’t start the car, as there is no chip in the key, but it is still useful. Only cost me $4 to get it made compared to $60 or so for a fob key

Options 1, 2, or 4 might set off the vehicle’s alarm system.
