Not true. Some people dress up in all kinds of stupid costumes for Halloween.

Very true. I dressed as Wilma Flintstone one Hallowe’en and had no desire before or after that day to keep my hair in an orange updo or go around town barefoot. It’s a day of whimsy.
When I was a kid many of us dressed up as ghosts, witches, devils, pirates, and whatnot. And angels, and everything else imaginable.
