The thought that Ukraine is going to execute a successful modern, coordinated combined arms maneuver offensive is absurd because A - they do not have the necessary military assets to execute and sustain such an offensive ( they barely have ammo to survive) and B- they don't have troops trained to execute such an offensive even if they did have the assets.
If the Ukrainians try to execute such an offensive, they run a huge risk pushing forward, over extending and and then being cut off and destroyed in detail when the offensive falters due the lack of just about everything needed to sustain that offensive.
Right now, the Ukrainians are living on howitzer shells that the US had to borrow from South Korea because in less than a year we have depleted our war reserves to such a degree that we have no more to give and we have lost the industrial manufacturing base and cannot produce enough to supply a very minor military player in a very limited conflict.
NATO is even more hamstrung by limited industrial base, broken supply chains and economic inability to support any serious conflict for any sustained amount of time.
Which pretty much sums up the situation for both the Ukraine and the US/NATO We perhaps will be able to mobilize and respond in 18 months or so, but by then things will be too little and far too late for the Ukraine to much but bleed and die.
I'm not rooting for Russia or Ukraine in this conflict - I'm rooting for Nuremberg style war crimes tribunals for the politicians who engineered this conflict - starting with Joe Biden and Boris Johnson.
“starting with Joe Biden and Boris Johnson.”
And Putin?
