Chuck Todd, the longtime host of NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’, will be stepping away from being the headliner after nine years on air, and over 15 years at NBC, in order to focus on his family and other projects at the network, according to an announcement released Sunday.

At the conclusion of his show on Sunday, Todd explained that he would be leaving NBC at the end of the summer.

“While today is not my final show, this will be my final summer here at Meet the Press,” Todd said. “I am really proud of what this team and I have built over the last decade.”
