I always thought theif kibbutzes sounded too much like socialism. Everyone working together is not going to work until the second coming.

I’ve been reading about the Jews in Germany and Europe for late 30s, early 40s. And even after the war. They they weren’t allowed to leave Germany or any Nazi occupied territory with any money. I think many stayed for that reason. Of the other hand most other countries wouldn’t let them in, even though they were willing to give up their property. I read about one Rogue Chinese ambassador in Vienna that was handing out Visas right as left, but other countries weren’t as compassionate. So after the war the survivors didn’t want to go back to where they came from, even though their ancestors have been there for Generations, because it was usually the people there that turned them in and turned on them. I’m thinking they didn’t have time thoughts about the countries that shut them out so that they had no choices.

Are you thinking that most did not go to israel?

Thanks for questioning me...It pushed me to dig deeper into Zionism.

I’ve been trying to get more information to share and I’m more confused than ever. Will we ever get real information on world history?

*************************************

In 1949, more than 249,000 Jewish settlers moved to Israel. This was the largest number of immigrants to arrive in a single year.

The Jewish population in Israel increased from about 500,000 in 1945 to 5.6 million in 2010. Today, around 43 percent of the world’s Jews live in Israel.

STARLIT—this blows my comment to the bottom of the sea.!!

“Zionist lefts” typically want a less-religious government and support giving up some Israeli-controlled land in exchange for peace with Arab nations. “Zionist rights” defend their rights to land and prefer a government based strongly on Jewish religious traditions.
