Speaking to a strongly Christian audience, he had a bit more leeway to show his Christian commitment, so all of that came across in a big way and made it possibly his best speech so far.
What I loved is that his faith is not projected as an attempt to alter people’s views. It simply underlies all his deep wishes for the good of all the people. I think the audience at the event understood that and went wild.
I like your post and well said!
He always speaks plainly in my opinion.
Good versus Evil!
I liked hearing him speak honestly about his faith. I like him because he’s authentic. He doesn’t speak “Christianese” like so many. He’s open and honest and I am not offended when he says things like “What the hell is that about?” He’s Trump.....a New Yorker who is tough and caring all at the same time. I’d rather have a straight-talker than a smarmy, phony, holier-than-thou politician who won’t stand up and fight....or is an actual Judas.
it was a great speech. and you’re right, his faith permeates his thinking, as it should. not like someone that is trying to pretend they have faith by saying a few statements about it and then dropping it for the rest of the speech
