back in the day, - 1995 - chicago had x-amount of consecutive days of heat index 125-ish with 106 to 113 degree temps.

My daughter finally jumps off the couch and screams "Go buy Central a/c and figure out how to pay for it later." which we eventually did.
Same daughter now lives in Wichita Falls Texas.

Of Course, obviously, she has a/c and a large outdoor pool.
