When hubby and I married on 07/02/1983, we had Nothing!
When we used to grill steaks, we put the charcoal in an old tire rim and cooked them on there.
(Yes, we had an old oven rack to set them on!)

We would buy small cuts of Delmonico Steaks, and they were delicious! (back then, the butcher would cut it howevr you wanted it. I asked him to cut one steak in half, so we could afford it on payday.)

We did not have much, but we were happy, and we STILL are!)

When people would ask us about our crashed car we woulld both shake our heads and I would say.."If you don't mind we'd rather not talk about it." LOL We certainly wasn't going to tell them the only way we could have afforded the car was for it to be in that mess. The car actually looked very good from one side view. lol I hand washed all of our clothes in a small kitchen trailer sink in order to see a movie or play minature golf occasionally. We even pulled a small U Haul with the car going up Tenn. hills.
