Glad you asked this...cotton ball also add white vinegar. I buy it by the gallons. Spunky white vinegar is my fabric softener/white vinegar mixed with Dawn is my dishwasher and rinse aid (just a couple of drops-/Dawn is a spot remover/Dawn and vinegar or water in a spray bottle cleans anything around the house with grease or stubborn grime-even floors/mildew in the bottom of our bird bath/Dawn and water or vinegar to clean glasses/husband cleans his cpap hose and container with Dawn and water/etc

Thanks! I have some white vinegar for cleaning but never added Dawn to it
