I think you need to reevaluate your judgement of Massie.
He certainly had issues with things Trump did. So did I.
The CARES act was one of the worst pieces of legislation in US history. It is one of the main causes of our inflation and terrible economy.
He was also critical of Trump pushing and praising the failed vaccines.
As far as I know, Massie never believed the Russia hoax or supported either of the impeachments or even criticized Trump for any personality issues.
Like Rand Paul, he is a libertarian purist and didn’t like when Trump did anti-libertarian things. That doesn’t make him a “Trump hater” and certainly not a member of the swamp.
I predict he will make the right decision here if he truly does have the power to affect it.
Interesting.
Trump policies are of the sort where . . . you take him seriously or you take him literally. The literal folks want the conversation to be traditional politics, and that’s not what Trump is about.
He is a disruptor. He seeks to render traditional politicians as something to be held in contempt rather than their perpetual self-declaration of noble defenders of America.
Clearly the Swamp will hate that. Anyone, no exceptions, in politics over 6 years is part of the Swamp. Afraid that includes him.
McCarthy knew who and what was on the Rules Committee when he was negotiating to get the votes he needed to become Speaker.
Ooops, clarifying . . . “that includes him” points at Massie.
