This only applies to films that receive a tax credit. I believe that for a film to receive the tax credit they have to have a budget of at least $1,000,000.

The Bill would not go into effect for 2 years:

This is, coincidentally, when the current film tax credit plan expires. So, presumably, this is tied to updating the tax credit plan.

Much ado about nothing.

Also, these rules are not entirely unreasonable in light of the Alec Baldwin/Rust shooting.

Alec Baldwin’s murder of his camera woman was no industrial accident, and could not have been cured by industry rule changes. There were two motives:

1. Spurned attempted lover.

2. Just like so many mass murders lately, an attempt to vilify firearms and firearm owners.

Baldwin is just that evil .....criminally insane.
