Nova Scotia too has been having some uncontrolled fires, and quite near Halifax. My sister lives near where the fires broke out last week and was anticipating being evacuated. They’ve had a dearth of rain, which is quite unusual for that area. They average 4-6 inches of precipitation every month, except July, when it falls to 3.6 inches, and they just had the driest spring since they started keeping records, at only 58% of normal rainfall. I am suspicious.
