Ever seen the movie “Everest”?
Based on true events it’s one of those flicks I doubt I’ll ever watch again....should be mandatory viewing before anyone is allowed to attempt that ascent.....what a gut punch.

Last year, one of our astronomy club members took a trip to the Everest Base Camp. (This lady goes all over, I don’t know how she can afford it, especially having kids). She is supposed to do a presentation on it some time, should be interesting. Her intention wasn’t to climb the mountain, just to visit Base Camp and, I suppose, interview the participants. She did do it, but hasn’t told the rest of us about her experiences yet.
