I know you don’t mean it, but that’s squarely blaming the victim.
OK, but do you have a limit? For example, would you be ok with women wearing bikinis or lingerie on the subway? None of us would accept that as an excuse for men assaulting women, but the point is do you have a limit on what you say society should deem acceptable attire in public?

Great question. And I suppose folks would give a wide range of answers to that. I would say the outfit in post #9 is okay. All the naughty parts are covered (ha).
Don’t get me wrong. Wearing that outfit on the subway is stupid, and provocative. That lady should expect to get stares - which is probably her goal in the first place.
So stare. But rude and/or suggestive comments would be crossing the line. At that point the fault is with the commenter.
