Pat is chairman of the board of Hillsdale College. It doesn’t get more conservative than Hillsdale.

For a while, Pat Sajak was on the Board of Trustees of Hillsdale College. Chaired it for a year or two, I believe.

Pat was a weatherman on a local newscast in LA. Merv Griffin spotted him and said, “That guy would make a good ggame show host.”

“But Merv,” they said, “he wants to be Johnny Carson.”

“Well,” said Griffin, “Carson started as a game show host.”
