As the article notes and as others have noted, hohos are using robots to try to extinguish fires and clean up the mess at these kinzhal vs patriot sites since no humans are volunteering to go near the places ("...I got enough health problems without glowing in the dark...").....
The ballistic missiles that the Patriot has previously been used against are hypersonic too, so the speed isn't the only issue. The Khinzal is a hypersonic *cruise* missile. If the Russians weren't programming it to use its maneuvering capability to evade defenses while on its way to the target, the Patriot system could be expected to hit it as though it were following a ballistic arc.
Well apparently despite their limited maneuverability they still were able to bypass the Patriot battery. And that’s the only relevant point here.

Even CNN has come to admit a Kinzhal successfully struck the Patriot battery so obviously “all” were not shot down. Nor did the remnants of the missiles Ukraine claim to have shot down resemble those of a Kinzhal. The Ukies are just lying through their teeth as they have been doing throughout this war. The patriot of Desert Storm isn’t the same as the current firm ware software and missile itself.
Even in 1990 it intercepted ballistic missiles. I was in Saudi Arabia watching it hit ballistic missiles. Please enlighten us peasants to your bona fides.

Actually, this raid succeeded in baiting the launch of 30 vehicles costing $1.2 Million (?) Each. How many are left and what is the production capacity for these vehicles are the next questions. After that, given the punking the RF just dealt out, the next question is whether keeping this system around is worth it (Answer is obviously yes, notwithstanding all the previous answers because the US DOD and State Dept. Are under the spell of the Woke of the Knowers of War.).
