Tight squeeze on the sleeve: Would you describe your arms as having higher than typical muscle tension? IE, are you in good physical shape, maybe trained a lot? My own regular quack can’t get a meaningful BP reading on me to save his butt. The first attempt blows the top off his sphygmomanometer.

I have my own machine which can take three in a row, then give the average, or the last. It takes the first two squeezes to get my arm muscle softened up enough to actually squeeze a blood vessel. In my training days I could dead lift close to 1,000 pounds and much of that muscle tension is still there.

Because I’m a pilot, in part, I get regular physicals. No health problems, no nothing, but I like to watch for changes. I’m in way better shape than the Quack is so , mostly, he just shrugs and signs me off. But getting a meaningful BP reading on someone in good shape takes a little more work than the average pill peddler is ready for.

RE: BLOOD PRESSURE SLEEVE

The sleeve squeezes my muscles to the bone. Unbearable.
