Hiya, finally, from Arkansas!

While I was at the library with my friend and her two grandkids, the power was restored.

All those, sweaty muscular bodies in the cherry pickers did a fine job, besides being very easy on the eyes! I could have watched them all day, but the drool was making my shirt wet.

The computer doesn’t recognize that we have power, so I’m using my phone as a hotspot, but I’ll be heading for bed soon, so all is well. I’ll work with it in the morning when I’m not so ga-ga from being without power for so long.

It was nice, actually, in a way, because I was warm for the first time since I moved here!

As for losing food, yep, everything in the fridge and freezer is a total loss. But that’s OK, because I would have had to find some way to get rid of it before I left anyway.

Cold showers in the summer are much better than cold showers in the winter!

One knows who one’s friends are and who can be counted on in time of need.

So my schedule was upended for a while, but that’s OK. The street is still closed behind us because of the tree that fell when the wind blew at 70+ mph that knocked down two power poles at the edge of the property, both of which had transformers. The poles, tree and power lines were all in our yard and Mona’s apartment just missed getting hit.

My FD in CO got online and ordered some batteries for my portable fan, and was going to order ice, but there hasn’t been a bag of ice in Dog Patch since Sunday evening when the storm hit. So to make up for it, she added some Teddy Grahams!

FS and his PW stayed in a hotel in Little Rock and on the second day, they asked me if I wanted to join them. I didn’t know they were apart, so I told them I was finally warm, so no thanks!

That’s my story folks, and I’m stickin’ to it!

I’ll have a warm bed tonight and light to see how I’m sorting my pills tomorrow. UPS delivered the supplements much earlier than expected and the delivery person was Umm

So now that I’ve given you the highlights, you can ask me anything you want about it.

I’ll take earthquakes any day, thanks.

‘Face

But what about Hurricanes?

I’m glad the power is back and you had some scenic views plus a trip to the library. Too bad about the food, but you can get more, and nothing worse happened, and you didn’t have to stay in a hotel in Little Rock, where you probably would have been cold.

That is great that your power has been restored! Maybe now, things there will stay calm until your departure... 🤞🏻

Glad to hear you’re no worse for wear, ‘Face. Tornados are just not fun. But, as I said in a post you probably missed, you’re a trooper. I wasn’t worried as soon as I knew you weren’t hurt.

Maybe you’d prefer an earthquake, but we’ll hope you don’t get to make a comparison any time soon.
