Good morning. I napped. My alarm is set for 0800 on Mondays, so I can take my pills at a reasonable interval, but I’ve always awakened long before it went off, usually by 0700. Not this morning! I was groggy when I woke up, like I was really sleeping hard. And here I am.
I just got off the phone with my Real Brother and his wife, and they’re excited about the move. They have no idea how excited I am!!
Anyway, the laundry has been hung up, and the dressing on the bite has been changed, so I’m good for another hour or so.

Not much on the docket for today. I managed to get a fever blister out of this episode of the rabid roach, but since I knew what it was and was prepared with Campho-Phenique, it’s almost history.
Good morning. There are some complications here, including the dryer not working. The stuff from yesterday is mostly air-dried, but I’ll have to send teenbros to the laundromat this evening or go myself, depending on events.
And it’s raining.
I didn’t have as much to wash this week, and as a result, less to hang up, but it’s still taking forever to dry.
That’s probably the toad choking rain we got a few days ago. I’d like to use a saying of my dad’s but it’s not lady-like. Maybe I’ll tell you in Freepmail. If I remember it...

I had Juneteenth off. I went to the doctor’s to see if I had a hernia. I don’t have A hernia, I have 3. So I have to schedule a procedure. The surgeon says it will be an outpatient procedure and I’ll be back to my exercise walks within a day, and running within a week. Apparently he’ll use a robot so the muscle damage will be minimal.
Apparently there’s no prize for having the most hernias.
I never solved Wordle yesterday. I got busy after the visit to the doctor and forgot by the end of the day that I hadn’t figured it out yet. I was on try 6 so I don’t know if I would have gotten it. After 341 wins I had to start a new streak. But today wasn’t so bad.

We are still in this very swampy, heavy, oppressive air... there is just so much moisture flowing up from the Gulf (because of where the high pressure dome is sitting) that the humidity levels never drop off when the temps climb... I saw one article that said it may lessen a bit by the middle of *next* week....
At least the Wordle was a bit more friendly today...

Amazing news about three hernias. Your prize was forgetting the Wordle! Using a robot. Hmmm. Well, as I understand medical robots, they’re supposed to be safer because they can’t make mistakes. Unless the mistakes are programmed into it. (Fuel for a Sci-Fi movie?) So it sounds as if you have nothing to fear.
A friend had hernia surgery, but he was on blood thinners, so they had to be very careful. You? You got this aced!

The air is like that here, all the time, rain or shine. I can’t breathe outside, so I can’t exercise, and I have to keep the A/C on inside, which I hate. I would rather not have to worry about any of it. I want my door open but I can’t even do that because of the moisture. So I get it with the oppressive air. It’s air you can drink.

Our weather had been mostly unusually cool until this weekend. Now it’s unusually warm.
