It was stuning in the sunlight!
But it’s the closest to the bird I saw. Thanks for finding it for me! ;o]
Reminds me of Woody Woodpecker.
You’re welcome. They are very pretty.
It does, kinda, doesn’t it? But in real life, it was stuning!!
Indeed! It certainly got my attention! I learned something new today!!
One of our neighbors has tried to burn down our common fence, so that’s exciting enough to bring all the residents out to “ooohhh” and “aaahhh” about it and pass judgement on whoever started it. Not even sparing the squirrels!
Only one fire truck and the captain’s truck are on scene.
Took out a good section of fence and maybe even began to eat the tree. Maybe I’ll go out later on and take a picture. ;o]
That’s very exciting! I hope they get it thoroughly put out.
Someone just sent me a photo of the orange air in NYC. This wildfire thing has hit them much harder than me.
I think most of Cabot’s fire department is volunteer, and the men who showed up to man the hose were graying. Works for me! It just tells me they know what they’re doing and I’m happy for that.
They were here quite a while, maybe over an hour, and the fire wasn’t that big, so I’m sure that they stayed until it was well and truly watered.
I thought I slept well last night, but I’m very tired today. Must be the relapse still giving me grief.
Yes, the wildfires give beautiful sunsets, but the orange-brown skies and the smoke-smelling air are no fun to deal with. I’ve been close enough to some to have ash on my vehicle and see the ‘hood with a thin layer of it.
I hope they get it put out soon so you don’t have to deal with it much longer.
Well, once the fire's out they have to go back to their day jobs so they need to be really, really sure it's out, right?
Unless they are retired or self-employed or working part-time... So yeah. That. :o])
I’m tired, too. Vlad is feeling poorly and didn’t come to supper. I hope it’s not going to be a whole family thing. Maybe he just ate something that disagreed with him.
They started the fire on purpose?
Sounds crazy...
Yes and no. They were burning debris in their back yard and it was too close to the common fence and a tree on their side. It spread to the fence, a section of which had to be removed, and it was working on the tree.
The only way the fire department could get to it was through this property because of the narrowness of the property next door and the fact that a garage blocked the access to the back yard.
I hope Vlad doesn’t have anything more serious than mild food poisoning, rather than one of those things that rages through the family members.
I always keep charcoal capsules on hand for those times I get food poisoning, or if I’m just unsure of the nausea or queasiness. I wouldn’t be without it.
When he turned up, he said he had a headache, not a stomach-ache.
Good morning. Happy Friday Eve!
I hope Vlad is OK and not contagious.
I spilled my coffee this morning, so I’m going to have to go without today. We’ll see what kind of fun that is.
We have an air quality warning into tonight at least. Last night I did my run on a treadmill at the fitness center to avoid the particulates in the air.
At least I rebounded from yesterday’s Wordle. Who would put “hater” in Pride month? I guess anyone woke would.
I think the U.S. needs a humility month.
Anyway, here’s today’s result.
Wordle 719 3/6

That’s good, I guess, but I hope it doesn’t indicate something’s coming.
