It does take a few years to learn Cat-Speak, and James is just beginning. Most of what I know, the cats taught me by ESP.
Now, it’s time for me to go shower. Maybe I’ll wake up a little by the time I get out. ;o]
Re-certification has struck once again, so my rent will go up as soon as the new amount is factored in. They don’t seem to do it by anniversary date here, and that’s confusing.
So I have massive amounts of paperwork to fill out and then print out six months worth of bank statements and utility statements. Unngh. I’ll turn it in tomorrow, maybe, since I haven’t even started on it.
PW is flying to Utah today to see her sweet folks, and she’ll be gone until June 1. I get to drive to church with my FS, I hope!
Good luck with your paperwork. Beaurocratic complexity is a tax on those who can least afford the cost, effort, and time to comply.
And I hope PW has a pleasant trip, while you enjoy some time with your son.
Good morning. Happy Humph Day!
I’ve been to the PA and back. I’ve got a referral to the surgeon’s office. But with no symptoms I don’t need to let a hernia repair change any summer plans.
Now for the typical workday.
Surprised myself on Wordle today.

LOL! Everyone got surprises on the Wordle, today!
Good job on the surgical referral. At least someone is getting help with what they need! I suspect, if you’re not on blood thinners, the surgery itself should pose no risks whatsoever.
You’ve got that right!
Believe it or not, it’s better than it was a year ago. LOL
Thanks. Poor Mona. She is SO “Gladys Kravitz!”
She’s been putting off filling out her form, then she was over here yesterday, when the WiFi was down, stressing about the bank and utility statements. She just called and asked if the manager was here and said she was going to ask not to be seen today.
I have no idea where she got the idea that turning in the documents automatically meant her appointment was at the same time, but I reassured her that she could turn in the documents, then the manager will call her for an appointment later on.
As long as she’s been on disability, you’d think she wouldn’t be so stressed with each re-certification, but it seems to be worse for her. I think she’s on too many different meds, but that’s what happens when you’re a ward of the gubmint. The docs throw pills at you to shut you up and meet their quotas of patients. But don’t get me started.
Anyway, nothing happens in my house until I’ve listened to at least one uplifting talk. Then it’s off to say my prayer, then back to whatever business awaits. Which is why getting up early is a good thing.
I’ve wished PW a safe trip and hope she has fun. She’s going to go to AZ then CA before she comes home, so I hope she enjoys herself.
I doubt if anything will change between FS and I while she is gone, though, except for the ride to church. She was out of town all last week, but there was no change in the status quo.
I guess it varies by where you are going day by day.... I went to a place on Imperial Drive last Thursday with not much of a problem..... had to go back on Monday morning and had a bear of a time getting there....
It seems to happen to a lot of people regardless of financial status.
I’ve seen too many people who had no idea they were being over-medicated. But yes, I agree, financial status has little to do with it.
But the over-medication is why it’s so important to bring a list of all your meds with you to the doctor’s, especially if it’s a first visit.
Looks like on Thursday the person who is supposed to go before you putting up road construction signs was slacking off.
Yes, definitely.
My interrupted nights are catching up with me again. I suspect it’s all linked to my situation, so I doubt that there will be an end to it any time soon. CFIDS is alive and evil.
I want to go to bed but it’s far too early!
I tried to get into my utility account but locked myself out for today, so I’ll have to try again tomorrow so I can print them out. I don’t think I have six months’ worth in my file, but I’ll sort through it tomorrow. Then I’m done until the interview.
Marriage is like a card game: Starts with two hearts and a diamond, ends up wanting a club and a spade.
H/T to jjotto
Pastor: Well, if you’re wife’s that awful to live with, why did you marry her?
Husband: Oh, she wasn’t like that when we got married.
Pastor: And how long have you been married?
Husband: 10 years.
Pastor: You mean you turned her from a sweet, loving woman into the woman you just described to me in only 10 years???
Well, he or she made up for it on Monday morning...the first 3 routes that I tried to get onto the road were completely shut down!
The happiness of a marriage is defined by whatever one party won’t do.
What an interesting thought, Bob. I’ll have to mull that one over, but I think you are profoundly right.
He marries her thinking she won’t change; and she marries him thinking he will.
