Luau was good. Revels were had. Was fun seeing some of my Sister’s friends that I had not seen in a while.
Ugh... Doing a weekend project for a client. Was supposed to take 4 hours... Went 9 hours yesterday and I’m back at it today since 9AM CST... With hours more to go it looks like.
A beautiful weekends worth of weather and I’m stuck trying to use “remote hands” to work on this clients network.
Imagine assembling a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle through a keyhole while someone else describes the pieces to you...
Good luck!
We’re home. Jake is fine. Garden is fine but needs weeding. We’ll go to church in a few minutes.
Glad to know you’re home safe and sound!
Any time I argue with myself about whether I feel up to going to church or not, it usually means I’ve got no business going. I’m really glad I didn’t go today.
It was hard to stay out of bed, but in a little while, I won’t be able to give myself an excuse! I’ll just go do the beddy-bye thing and not worry about whether someone missed me or not at church.
Tomorrow is laundry day and I’m really not looking forward to that. Some days, it’s almost more than I can handle.
I may get started on your letter tomorrow. I probably will because there is so much to tell you. Straight out of Sci-Fi!
The shower was barely warm today, but it seems it runs comfortably hot and then tepid, then somewhere in between, then back again. The designer for this style of heat-pump/water heater should be banished from the planet.
That’s good! The closest I’ve ever come to a luau is homemade Hawai’ian Teriyaki. The late Igor gave me the recipe when he still thought I was dumb and cute, and I want to make it again one of these days. Maybe when I get back West.
It sounds like a fun gathering, for sure!
I’ll look forward to the letter eventually!
Father Gary got out of the hospital yesterday morning and was at 4:30 p.m. Mass today. He’s feeling better and very happy to be back in his own house with his dog.
I can understand their reluctance.
Up and at ‘em! I didn’t want to be but I was cold and my left arm was buzzing, so here I am.
Good news about Father Gary! Being in your own place, with your own things can do wonders for the healing processes. I hope he continues to improve.
Now, off to get dressed and do the laundry!
Happy Monday, Wordlers!
Here’s hoping your week is off to a great start!

That’s too bad.
Wow! What a catio!!
Good morning. I hope you slept well, now that you’re back in your own bed.
As soon as I got back from washing the clothes, I sat down here and began the letter to you. I may add a few things when I get up from my nap, but for the most part, it’s done.
I’m glad there are no holidays I have to worry about for a while. FS’s birthday is coming up the 2nd, but will celebrate it the third, as it’s a Saturday. Then Father’s Day, then nothing more until Thanksgiving and Christmas. (She says, with a sigh of relief!)
Good morning. Jake would be astounded at the catio, and probably ignore everything.
That reminds me: I need to get a birthday card for my brother (June 6) before I forget.
And not bad, thanks. Jake was happy to see me this morning. I guess James wasn’t getting up at 5:15 to let Jake out and back in.
Good work on that one! It was as restful as I needed it to be!
Yes, I agree. Jake is a snob’s snob. Jake often doesn’t know how good he has it! LOL!
Because FS’s birthday always falls this side of payday, I have to get his cards in May, so almost all the cards for all the holidays are bought in May. Sam’s is a straggler, coming in September, but his is easy to remember — September 10th. I have a nephew who was born on the 11th, but he had the day first.
I need to go hang the clothes, then finish your letter and get a card written to Carol. I’ll be back soon.

I’m glad the bike is providing so much enjoyment for you. You obviously have needed something that allows you time for reflection.
Well, being retired has taken away those types of ‘fun’ weekends for me... but since we live on a ranch with livestock... and lots of fencing, and out buildings, and equipment, etc., that kind of ‘fun’ can crop up at anytime... but, at least it is all of the ‘here and now’ flavor, no ‘remote hands’ involved...
Hoping that you got it done! (and the weather by you is still holding out!!)
Good Monday Morning!
Hoping that the weekends were good and the upcoming week is even better!
Took a lot of noodling (and a whole cup of ☕️) to get from row two to row three today...
