I’ll look for them the next British series I watch that has some action in a small shop. You don’t actually have post offices there do you? I mean they’re shops with a designated postal store.
I didn’t phrase that rightly, I’m sure, but here, the postal service only sells things relating to the postal service. There, it seems the shops have one section for the postal service and the rest of the store is other items.

The Scoutmaster called last night and said we didn’t need to do the pickup this morning. Someone’s parents drove down for the final campfire and had enough seats to get all the girls back to their base.
So we’ll pick Kathleen up from the Scout Hut in the 11:30 time frame.
I’m just sitting around this morning, but I should cook vegetables instead. The eggplant are piling up.
I wasn’t doing too badly until I picked up a case of water from the delivery order to bring it in. I thought I might even get something done in the way of packing. *unngh*
FD tagged me on Facebook, saying she hated me when she was a kid because I made her do housework on weekends, but she was thankful I did because she has a beautiful home, now. I’ve got nothing to do with the home. The work ethic, yeah, maybe. But for her to admit it publicly was a real trip!
So there are your vegetables, all cooked and ready to do something with! And Kathleen is magically going to appear at the Scout Hut for you to get her! Good job!

I cooked the eggplant. Still have to work on the zucchini. Kathleen is retrieved and is relatively cheerful. Says she had a good time. She’s working on getting her dirty clothes into the wash, and then she’ll have a shower.
Ah the great post office mess
They used to be in their own buildings, but after the great privatisation fiasco they ended up buried at the back of other shops . Lurking in the corner waiting to attach a stamp to some poor unsuspecting soul and send you on a magical mystery tour.
