One more step in the moving process and then we’re done until we hit the road.
I understand that’s the plan. She’s had so many plans that I don’t believe in any of them until they occur!
I’m sure she’ll do what’s best for her. She’s got a level head on her shoulders, that girl.
Still no A/C repair guy. I’ll still put the portable fan into business, though.
FS stopped by for a few minutes this morning and he moved the boxes with books out of my path, so I won’t have to lift the laundry next week. Yippee!
Sometimes I do... then other times I find myself making silly mistakes like trying a word that was already used...

I can’t do much packing if I this place is too hot. And no one will want to come and help me. So I’ll text her every few hours. She’ll get tired of me and do something rational.
FS actually said if she didn’t do something soon to let him know and he would call her. Three weeks before I move...
So now that my morning has been shot with phone calls and online reservations, I’ll wait until tomorrow to try to finish up in the kitchen. There isn’t much to do, but I’ll do what I can.
I printed out a list of the used words, and every day I add to it in a sort of alphabetical order. Just using the letter they start with because it’s not that important.
Some days, life is like that!
I just retook the BSA “Safe Swimming” course, because that looks good in my file. Now I’m thinking about nap time.
The manager sent me a text thanking me for giving her 30-day notice. She said I was a good tenant. Yepper.
The A/C guy is supposed to be here this afternoon.

A/C guy came, checked it out and said, it’s running fine but if it does this again, contact the manager. Looks like they need a new HVAC unit. This is going to make packing interesting!
I’m in the heat again, because someone doesn’t seem to want to do any actual work.
I have a plan but I can’t put it into force until tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, I’m taking my body to bed and hope the ADA and “quiet enjoyment” get something done in the near future. I will start to pack a little tomorrow, even though it will be warm in here.
I’m not letting a little thing like that stop me!

Actually, I like being WARM! There is a difference!
The guys looked at the units, inside and outside, checked to see if it was blowing cool air, said it was fine and left. Meanwhile, the temperature began to climb, meaning that sometime between opening the HVAC door and closing it, it was no longer running fine. They did a major overhaul when I first moved in, or at least in the spring after I moved in, but this is the third time HVAC guys have had to be called.
Do they know their jobs? Probably. Do they want to work for their money? Probably not. So I’ll call the owners tomorrow and if it isn’t fixed properly, then I write letters.
Between Mona and FS, I was ready to toss a couple of people back to the Indians! Mona interrupts because she thinks she knows what I’m going to say, and FS wants to interfere because he has no clue about public housing. GAH!!
Anyway, I told Paola that I didn’t want anyone to bother me tonight. I’ll text her in the morning, turn the fan on and try to get some packing done.
Now, I’m going to try to go to bed again.

I survived. My abdomen has some small scars that look bigger due to the swelling. I’m typing while holding ice against it - what fun!
