The rain is stopped, but I turned on the fan so there is some circulation of air, at least.
A/C repair guy won’t be here until 1000 tomorrow morning.
I cleaned the counters and stove, but then Frank cut up a watermelon.
On the positive side, we got Vlad’s bank account with no trouble this afternoon. It was so easy that I plan to get one for Frank, if one of us can figure out how to make the appointment.

The Other Folks re-invited me to a movie for tomorrow, but I declined this time, because I just don’t think a movie seat would be a good thing for me to sit in for two hours or so.
So they can go to their 6:30 movie as they wanted to, and I’ll stay home, getting used to not being included. What am I saying?? I’ve BEEN used to it! LOL!
The last two days have been excruciating for me, so I’d really rather not go anywhere, anyway. I just want the pain to go away longer than for the 15 minutes it seems to be, now. Lifting has been the worst. But laundry day, and all that.
So I’ll see about doing a little packing tomorrow, whatever I can do while standing, and then Mona will be here on Wednesday, since I already told her tomorrow was off because of the A/C being naughty.
Hopefully, I can get out of bed tomorrow!

I have the overhead fans running, so it’s not too bad in here. I only have four hours and thirty-some-odd minutes until the A/C repair guy gets here.
Meantime, I’ll be walking in circles. My back goes into these tiny spasms and they are excruciating, to say the least. Remind me not to lift anything heavy, please.
Don’t lift anything heavy, and I hope the A/C repairman gets there promptly. It’s hot and humid here. Jake checked things out and came back to sleep all day.

But they’re probably ticked off at me for turning down the offer to watch “The Sound of Freedom.” so sucks to be them.
I don’t think I told you that Carol called Sunday night. She sounded good, but she tired easily, so she hung up after about five minutes. She’s so depressed with the cancer. She say her helper takes her out onto the patio in the mornings when it’s cool, just so she can see something different than four walls. Bless her heart. She’s pretty brave, that one.
I think I’ll do some shredding today and give my back a break from yesterday. If I have to stay somewhat sedentary, I need to be doing something worthwhile. I will also clear out my file drawer. I did it in November or December, but since I’m moving, I’ll do it again and cut back on the poundage.

She’s happy for that little bit of change in her life. She decided against treatment, and prefers to let the cancer just consume her. I think I’d choose that, as well.
Yeah, I told them I didn’t think I could sit for two hours in a theater seat and her response was, “OK. I understand. I hope it gets better soon.” Not even, “Is there anything we can do to help you?” Or, “Can we bring you a meal?”
That’s OK. I just keep thinking about how I’m going to explain my actions to Jesus. It’s not looking good!

Yes, it is. He would have come last night, but I was exhausted from fighting the pain all day, so I asked for the 10:00 AM appointment. I don’t mind the heat (sez the desert girl) but the humidity is a real bear!
I think there is a law in most states that seniors get priority treatment when it comes to emergency services of any kind, so I wasn’t worried.
