Yeah that’ll help. AB is too dumb to realize what a treasure trove of marketing information is available to them....for free.
Companies should ditch their marketing firms and crowd fund their ads.
That would just spark a bigger retreat from their brand I would think by drawing even more attention to it (a significant amount of people don’t even know about what happened even now), not to mention people who were indifferent then avoiding their products for the heavy handedness of suing people for parodies / memes.
a primary difference between genius and stupidity- genius has its limits. Props to A. Einstein
Three frogs sitting there... dylan mulvaney walks by...
each frog croaks ... what ... is... IT!
Actually, Wierd Al famously gets permission for all of his parodies. But legally you are correct.
How are they going to sue basement dwellers and websites where servers are headquartered in foreign countries? Wasting even more resources.
Hasn’t the Supreme Court ruled parody is protected speech?
Weird Al has been turned down a few times. One example that comes to mind is “Chicken Pot Pie”, a parody of “Live And Let Die.” Paul McCartney denied permission on that one because he was a vegetarian.
Just like the douche and douchess of sussex threatening to sue Southpark.
Yep, they so want our business back, don’t they?
Buy our swill or we’ll sue you.
Ya just doesn’t motivate a guy does it?
Pretty sure he got those 10 years too
Ya it’s gonna have to be stronger than tranny juice.
Maybe cyanide would do the trick?
Pile on the dumb by suing the people that used to buy your product...
They aren’t stupid, they really don’t have any choice - are you familiar with corporate “ESG scores”?
These big corporations need to borrow money, lots of it, I guess, and if they aren’t sufficiently “woke”, then their ESG scores suffer. Leftists don’t care either way, they notch a win no matter how it shakes out as far as they are concerned.
Parody is a protected form of copyright infringement.
Is this going to be one of those “Real Men Of Genius” memes?
Vinnie was a doctor back in the day.
