I d0 shop there. And I used to work there in high school and for one of my jobs working my way through University of Florida.
I’ve felt the same way about Valentine’s Day for decades.
Fortunately, my spouse of 44 years shares that sentiment; we clearly don’t question our love and affection for one another.
So, we don’t observe it.
But we would never consider questioning or criticizing those who do.
Pretty much all the holidays fall into 1 of 2 categories in America. There’s the “dolla dolla bill yo” holidays that are completely commercialized, and there’s the “why is there no mail today” holidays that we barely even recognize as existing.
Society only changes when people point out the problems. We got Mother’s Day because somebody kept rattling the cages. We might be able to get BACK Mother’s Day with cage rattling. We definitely can’t without any.
Yup.
They are trying to eradicate anything that gives us identity as a culture and as Americans.
They want to destroy the family unit.
They always wish me merry Christmas and a happy Mother’s Day
