My California city has been mandated to build thousands upon thousands of new apartment buildings - which are going up on the peripheries of the city as I write this.
Never mind that we are under water restrictions here - with vans that go around and check to see if the sidewalks are wet - after a decade of drought.
Never mind that our electrical grid is past its breaking point and overloaded during heat waves - of which there are many during our long, hot summer and fall. I receive alerts constantly to NOT plug in large appliances, especially EVs during these times. Other cities nearby have mandated rolling blackouts.
Never mind that our freeways and local roads are jammed 24/7 every day of the year.
It seems none of these thousands upon thousands of new residents will need electricity, water and won’t further clog up our roadways. They’re coming here for a “better, more privileged life” that has been denied to them.
Yea, but the government will raise your taxes to pay for all that, after all it’s for the children..... which we illegally let into our country because we needed the problem so That we could charge you more and have greater control over you....
