New York City’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act permits alleged victims to bring claims within seven years of the alleged physical violation, and CPLR 213-c, which was amended in September 2019, also is used to bring civil claims of sexual assault under a 20-year statute of limitations.Feb 22, 2023

How’d she get around this one? She claims the “assault” happened in ‘96.

I understand that the NY Governor — a coincidence I’m sure—
had extended the statute of limitations one year. That extension allowed this woman to file suit. I’m not sure the rape allegation mattered—she sued for Trump’s slandering her reputation when she slandered him.

To tell the truth I don’t recall all of the legal acrobatics they performed to get this thing into court.
