Correct. Many do not understand standard stage positions. As a former rock n roll concert production person I can expound on this topic. If I may.
Stage right = house left (audience facing the stage)
Stage left = house right (audience facing the stage)
Down stage = front of stage
Up stage = back of stage
Center stage = ....center stage
Back in the day stages were angled a bit down toward the audience so people sitting close to the stage could see the players feet. Thus, front is angled down while back, is, consequently angled up. This also gave rise to the phrase “foot lights”.
Also, there were no brown M&Ms in the dressing rooms as those hadn’t been invented yet, ;O)
