Well, that's good and nuts.
Everyone knows he lives upstairs at the White House.

So, is there an official explanation of who the guy is?

The Grim Reaper, the personification of death, was spotted at the coronation of King Charles III, according to people on Twitter. That's ridiculous. It was Bigfoot.

Had a wren fly into the open garage the other day.
Same wren or a descendant gets in the house every year usually.
They’re supposed to be “lucky”.
Was not happy about it, anyway.

If there are no ghosts and spirits, then there is no afterlife.
I can assure you, there ARE ghosts and spirits. Demons, too.

Generally not in the same house or family, however.

And what can you offer as proof?
How does an entity of any kind exist after death?

Every time I see an owl, I smile and lovingly watch a beautiful creature. Nobody I know ever dies after that.
On the other hand, both my father and my younger brother died in a hospital due to doctor error. Doctors are the harbinger of death, not owls.

The spirit is eternal. Any individual always existed, and always will. A spirit, or soul, attaches to a body during that body's lifetime.
The proof is difficult to share. I have communicated with spirits, quite inadvertently, yet most assuredly.

There is plenty of proof for life after death.
There are even academics studying the topic.
I gave one link earlier but there are dozens of books with all kinds of evidence.
The topic has a bad reputation because of a history of con artists and charlatans—and they still are out there—but there is lots of solid research and data.

That's a good link. Yeah, the evidence is overwhelming. Most won't look, many won't believe. I had my nose rubbed in it.
The spirit realm is a lot more sophisticated than the temporal.

I know an ER nurse who accounted numerous afterlife/near-death observations.
One revived patient asked "Why is there a tongue depressor on top of the light fixture"? It turned out to be there, and nobody on staff knew about it beforehand.
She could relate these incidents for hours, and all first hand experiences.

I don’t have a religious view of this stuff—don’t consider it the “spirit realm”.
I just think it is another part of reality—a poorly understood one—but there nonetheless.
We humans are not born with “rules of the universe” hard-wired into our heads.
We have to learn them.
We can do that by listening to “experts” and “authority figures” (bad idea in my opinion) or by listening to our experiences in front of our face.

That much like my view as well. I used “spirit realm” for lack of a better term.

Every single time I see an owl something g terrible happens. No more. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the powers of darkness, in Jesus' name!
The greatest way to deal with any fear issue is to pray believing in God's power of protection!
Here is a great prayer of protection, The Lorica (Saint Patrick's Breastplate).
