Unless you are descended from royalty, or from a multi-generational wealthy family, your family was probably under someone’s thumb at some point in history. I owe no one for what their ancestors went through. No one in my family was even here until the early 1900s. That said, even those whose families were here are not responsible for what their ancestors did.
Does a child in Spain or Portugal owe the world for things the Conquistadors did? Do the descendants of Spaniards in Mexico owe all the indigenous people of Mexico? What about blacks who participated in the conquest of Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, Mexico and other nations/lands (e.g. Juan Garrido)? Do all German children owe the Jews and the descendants of all those who fought for the allies in WWII?
The examples could go on and on. The amount of anti-white hatred and racism being perpetuated at this time in the world is astounding and immoral. It will lead to nothing good, for anyone.

Yep. There must be a statute of limitations for such things. Otherwise, bloody grudges and counter-grudges would go on forever.
So what should that statute of limitations be? I’d say that a discussion should be over once there are no more living victims. For example, there are victims of the Holocaust still alive today. If they want to harass and annoy Germany, that’s okay with me.
But there are no former slaves alive today. That book is permanently closed.
