“He was actually living in the Netherlands.”

The article didn’t say that so how was he arrested for a Ukrainian law if he wasn’t in the Ukraine. Did he just travel in to do articles and then split? He doesn’t seem to catch on about foreign laws if he was stupid enough to go to a place where he was going to be arrested for doing what he did.

See the thread in #10, and my first comment. I pieced this together from elsewhere. In order to get arrested in Ukraine, he had to go back there. My guess is he recently went back to and was arrested shortly afterwards. Why he would go back to a country where his arrest is assured is beyond me.

I came the conclusion early on the more popular people siding with Russia had issues. Lira is a prime example of this. This is not to say the mainstream news is a beacon of honesty either.
