Good point! What worries me is I have seen little documentation on what gold we are supposed to have now. Who can prove we actually have it?
I vaguely remember France, I think it was, asking for their gold back. It had been stored in NYC, I think since WWII. It took them months to give it back, and at the time it was rumored that it had been stolen. I think they finally got it, but it almost caused an Incident. I think I’m remembering this correctly, but maybe not. I do remember thinking at the time that I wouldn’t be surprised if their gold had been “mislaid.”
