Tolkien.
so much beauty, and truth in his words.
I remember reading to our youngest, and having to collect myself - being moved to tears at times.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I first read LOTR when it came out in paperback around (?) 1964. My sister and I read and re-read it, made maps, tried to write in runes, etc. I wanted to live in that world. Such beautiful writing, exciting drama, a battle between Good and Evil, and Good won.
Yes, to all that - smiles.
I first read it in school.
Indeed, Tolkien brought another world to life in a way I had never experienced before, and I was a reader, from a family of them ;)
Thank you again, for the memories, FRiend.
