Oh gosh petey, I think I would have had a heart attack! I remember back in the 90s when I first moved to California, there was a news story that a mountain lion killed a man’s Husky dog in the Simi Valley area. They interviewed the man and he said he had let the dog outside at night and shortly after heard the dog going nuts on the back porch. He opened the door and saw a lion, “Head as big as a pizza box,” with his 90 pound dog by the throat. The cat took off with his dog in its mouth. Around this same time, they had an incident of two horseback riders being stalked by a cat in that area. There was all this discussion about how California had made it illegal to kill mountain lions.
Situations like that don’t scare me, but dangle a big spider or a piece of lint that looks like a spider and I’m ded. I also have a “spider scream” 😂😂.
