The queens can end up in some crazy places.
When I was a child, we had a swarm on a small tree branch over our patio.

Just when you thought maybe we had reached peak insanity, some idiot raises the bar.
Why couldn’t they just taxi out and fly away? What was everyone afraid of? Bad PR for killing a few sacred bees? It’s not like they were queer or anything. Hey wait, maybe they were Africanized American bees! BLM!

Russia starts dropping bees on American equipment in Ukraine.
Liberals panic.

You’d think it would just give the aircraft more lift. 😏

Why couldn’t they just taxi out and fly away? ... It’s not like they were queer or anything. Dragging the swarm along with the aircraft would make the queen bee a drag queen, wouldn't it?...

This is silly. The bees would be gone by the time the plane hits rotation.
They’re on the winglets, far from the engines...

You win the internet today. 😆

“a beekeeper would not be removing the insects due to not being allowed to touch the plane,”
Is that stupidity a TSA or FAA thing?
Did they think he was going to dismantle the wing or strap a bomb on?

I don’t want to jump to conclusions. But were Paul Simon and his pals anywhere near the plane?

A swarm is seldom aggressive, no hive, honey, and grubs to protect. They are not angry, they have the whole world to explore.
Don’t worry, bee happy.

Anything altering wing airflow is serious business, especially on the winglets. I wouldn’t want to be on a plane where the pilot said “I THINK taking off will make them detach. Let’s give it a try and see what happens.”

True, IF they taught the bees to flap in harmony. Or at least hum in harmony.

Just a guess. Mowing operations ran over a big bee hive and the bees took off in unison...
