There’s a name for this with technical analysis indicators in trading financial securities. It’s called rewriting. The indicator (model) goes back on previous prints and corrects trade entry and exit signals to look correct.
I don’t trust these pseudoscientists one iota.
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

Do these brilliant “forecasters” know who will win the AFC West this year?
Every year for the past several years these freaks have been running around like chicken little claiming that it’s going to be an above average, or very active year, blah , blah, blah blaming it all on man made global warming.
And every year they make these predictions, it always ends up being just average or a little below average.
They make these dire predictions every year...eventually they will be correct, just by the law of averages. That one year out of many that they get it right, they will then turn around and say “See??? Globull Warming!!!”.
Is there anywhere that takes bets on this?
Not even one. 😊
According to my personal model it’s either going to be a very active season or it’s not. I’ve never been wrong.
I could have sworn that a thread from a couple of weeks ago predicted a less-than-normal activity prediction. Do they think we’re stupid?
They work for the insurance companies to keep those rates up ( if you can even get insurance)
Is it gonna rain Friday?
They haven’t predicted squat accurately in decades.
This is the equivalent of B roll.
They say the same thing every year.
It is one of the few down side things about living in Florida.
Joe Bastardi and Weatherbell weigh in on the subject...
