Kinda confusing. Perot watered down the vote against Clinton, i.e., took some of the votes Bush Senior would have gotten, lowering his totals, and benefiting Clinton by allowing Clinton’s totals in important states to end up being higher than Bush’s totals there, producing an Electoral College win for Clinton even though he didn’t receive a strict majority of the votes nationwide, but rather only a plurality.
The question here is, which “Anti” vote would an Independent-running RFK Jr. dilute the most? Anti-Brandon (thereby benefiting Brandon for Electoral College purposes)? Or Anti-Trump (thereby benefiting Trump for Electoral College purposes)?
Actually not sure which way an Independent RFk Jr. general election run would cut but since RFk Jr. has always been a Democrat, wouldn’t he end up ripping Brandon the biggest “new one”?
His candidacy is probably his own idea, but its all part of the anybody-but-Trump derangement.
