An Indiana bar is begging customers to come back after telling them they weren't welcome for speaking out against Dylan Mulvaney's Bud Light partnership.
The Fairfax Bar & Grill in Bloomington issued three statements to their patrons since weighing in on the controversial partnership that launched April 1.
Mulvaney celebrated her first year as a trans-woman with the help of Bud Light, who printed her face on the beer cans as part of a marketing effort.
In the days after the partnership, $6 billion was wiped off of parent company Anheuser-Busch's market cap as a massive debate was sparked over trans issues in the US.
Initially, the bar backed the partnership and claimed on April 11 that, 'any patrons wanting to voice their concerns about the issue will be immediately asked to pay their bill in leave.'
The establishment has since walked back on its statement and claimed on Thursday that workers 'will not censor opinions.
The bar has walked back comments after backlash from their first one. Many Bud Light customers have protested the company's support of Mulvaney.
'A lot has been said - some correct, and some incorrect - and I want to clarify my stance,' a statement on the bar's Facebook read.
'What I really want to convey is this: just be respectful. Different opinions are welcome here as long as they are delivered respectfully. We’d no more want ugly, aggressive or rude interactions about which sports team someone thinks is better, than about societal issues.
'We do not and will not censor opinions, but we do require civility in this establishment.

RE: I searched! The search never works around here

The FR search works best if you confine it to one or two significant words of the title (usually one is all you need) and stay away from words of three characters or less. Those don’t work at all. And avoid typos by using cut and paste rather than typing the words in. Also, it appears that some people are not choosing the “Title” option in the pull down. That’s required if you wish to search by title.

...such as “Indiana”

In the Army we used to call that ‘”stepping on your d**k.”
I search by title only not keywords.
It’s up to the poster to enter the proper title.
Regardless, searching for one unique word is the best search method
Again, these days, it must be like the Crocodile Dundee movie where he sees (what he thinks) is a hot looking chick that turned out to be a fag in drag.
So, never mind.
As for “keywords” Once I was posting some prolife article and I searched by that and found it was not posted so I posted. Guess what? someone had posted it and had not used keywords! I got my ass chewed out for “not searching” even though I did!
So now I just search by title alone.
A search by “Indiana” may yield pages of results and there is no guarantee the poster even used keywords.
I’ve also been chewed out for now using complete title, more so by Daily Mail articles which we all know can’t write a “title” they write “paragraphs”. I had to write the complete title in the main area before entering the story.
However here lately FR has made more room in the title area to accomodate DM’s long ass titles.
Also if you change/alter/censor the title in any way like we have to do with DM’s articles it will change the search and people won’t find the article.
I’m telling you this because I do search and not trying to be a pain to everyone.
Here was my title for this article which is the complete title:
Come back bud! Indiana bar pleads for customers to return after telling them they were not welcome for speaking out against trans Dylan Mulvaney-Bud Light partnership
here was algore’s:
Indiana bar pleads for customers to return after telling them they were not welcome for speaking out against trans Dylan Mulvaney-Bud Light partnership
Just three words set off the search, that is all it took and I did not find algore’s article. Any other time I’ve found DM articles that have been posted. This shows why it’s important to use full titles!!!!
