Absolutely guys... How it works. Each install is both client and a server node in the network. So it is by nature self supported by the member machines and has no central servers or controls.

Some of the projects that could be utilized and/or Communities built on.

For messaging and file sharing qTox is great. We have a community that has been using it for a couple years now.

This one is great and wide open for expansion and utilization. I have been playing with ZeroNet for a year now.

This one looks extremely interesting and I like the features. But... It is not open source so I am personally leery of it. Could be a trap protocol, Blockchain networks need to be open source or they can’t be trusted. And it is actually the same as ZeroNet except for the additional crypto mining feature.

An older project: GNUnet

But these are just a couple examples of what can be done to unchain ourselves from the “normal internet”. No domain names are needed, each has their own extremely secure identification system and extremely secure encrypted anonymous security/privacy system. It would be fairly simple to build a community using this technology and ditch the regulated internet.

The only way to shut these down is to block all internet access.
