About 20 years ago, My Wife and I along with a few friends were having dinner together. It was a nice little Italian restaurant. Even had a young woman playing a violin.
We had her play a few tunes. It happened to be Confederate Memorial Day, so I asked if she would play Dixie.
She lit into that tune, and across the room a man was dining with two women. He bolt up out of his chair and stood with hand over his heart the entire song. It was great.

I would give a lot to have been there! It sounds like a great evening.

I love that the South embraced Dixie which was written as a dis to the Confederacy.
