If it is naturally in a food (for instance, in many or most soy sauces), that’s different from manufactured industrially and used as a “flavor enhancer”.
Maybe MSG is useful for somebody but not me. The stuff will do you in. Some decades ago, eating at a favorite restaurant, I would get half way thru a meal and get a sharp pain at the base of my skull. After a few repeats I asked the boss what he was using for spices. Turns out they put MSG on everything. There was no way to eat at the place without getting a dose of it. So I quit.
It would take 2-3 hours after eating for the pain to quit.
The stuff, or anything like it, is not allowed in my house. I don’t have any known allergies so I just have to assume the stuff is slow poison. I don’t have any health issues, feel good all the time, so when I feel something change I know it was something I ate. For instance, a low back pain means something I tangled with pee-o—ed my liver or kidneys. So I quit. I learn fast. Don’t eat fast food. Don’t eat cold cuts. Never eat off a salad bar or smorgasbojrd. Don’t even eat off a buffet.
Seems to work since I feel good and everyone else I know bitchesandmoans about how they feel?
