It is the processing required (hexane solvent, deodorizers, bleaching, etc.) that makes “seed oils” bad....sunflower seeds are fine on their own. Seed oils that are “expeller-pressed” or “cold pressed” are a bit better but still not good. Olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, beef tallow or ghee (clarified butter) are best. Oils/shortenings that your relatives cooked with/ate 150 years ago when the heart disease rate was vastly lower.
