I have a theory about that pic that doesn’t require it to be “shopped”.
If you have worked with Apple’s “Live” photos, you’ll know that they are a
proprietary GIF-like short video compression technology that offers high
resolution and low data consumption. It will take lots of frames and hide them in
one pic, and the video goes “Live” when you touch it. It an option in apple device
cameras that you can turn on or off. You can also output Apple “Live” pics from
video with apps like “Momento”.
The “still” pic/container you wind up with can often contain overlapped
elements of both the first and last frames.
If this was created that way, then she approached our President with the ball in her left hand, then moved it behind him and held her right hand towards him,
but we can’t see that, because it’s covered up by the ball image from the first frames, and her right wrist just happened to line up nicely.
When traded around with non apple devices, or posted to non “Live” pic capable platforms, these wind up being static jpeg images.
