Coldplay - Viva La Vida (Live in São Paulo) is taken from the Live In São Paulo concert filmed on 7 and 8 November 2017, part of the Butterfly Package, which also includes the Live In Buenos Aires album and the A Head Full Of Dreams documentary.
I never saw them in concert, but it looks like it would be fun.
Not a fan of the band but always liked this song...especially this lyric snippet
“Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate”
Kinda the theme song for us patriots...
I bet Trump must think about that sometimes.
No doubt Trump has that thought...many times.
That said...it speaks volumes of his inner character he chose to give up an extraordinary life to save America.
I discovered politics in grad school during Reagan’s 2nd term and always believed he would be the last great president.
Trump has exceeded Reagan...and hopefully his sacrifice will not be in vain.
That is my hope as well.
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning, I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listened as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead, long live the king"
One minute I held the key
Next, the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason, I can't explain
Once you'd gone, there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
It was a wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason, I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason, I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
I like this cover of that song by the Spanish group Broken Peach:

Love this band. Hope to see them in concert someday
I’ll get flamed, but I love this group and the lyrics to this song are just brilliant.
“Roman cavalry choirs singin’”
Who thinks up that? (I know: “it’s drugs”).
It’s dang good lyric writing.
When Chris Martin comes back on stage and passes his hand over the top of the drum and does not get hit by the drummer....I bet you are thinking “I could have got him!”
I thought the drummer gave a look like he was lucky he didn't get hit.
I thought so too.
Great song!
No, I’m going, “Crap, why didn’t we have crowds like that.”
Then I remember: “cuz we didn’t write songs like that.”
