$1600.00 for tickets? ROTFL! In August 1969 and February 1970, I paid a $7.50 cover charge to see Elvis at the International Hotel in Vegas. No wonder Americans need government assistance because they have no money. They waste it all on concerts and cell phones.

My last concert splurge was for Neil Diamond concert at Madison Square Garden - a sentimental gesture for my wife as we went to a concert of his when we first got married. I forget the exact amount but it was in the hundreds of dollars per ticket.

This is why nobody cares too much in the music business anymore about record sales anymore. All the money is earned on the road doing concerts. That's why you see all these 1970s acts still dragging their aching bones out on stage to shamble about and warble their hits from a half century ago.

They can make insane amounts of money doing that.

We’re going to see Leonid and Friends in June. They are a band of Russians that play Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire etc. Their traveling group is about 20 members including the crew. Tickets are $50 for what will be an absolutely great show. We’ve seen them before and have never been disappointed.

$1600 to see someone sing? Not a chance.
