Yes, the GOP has had the same problem for decades, trotting out the same old warhorses, particularly for losing presidential campaigns, like the "my turn" Doles, McCains, Bushes, and Romneys.

And they never seem to retire until they are on their deathbeds. What is up with that? I mean, I like my career well enough but I look forward to getting off the treadmill when I'm 65 or 70 and having at least a few good years for hobbies and such.
