BALTIMORE — A transgender woman is suing the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Corrections (DPSCS) over alleged mistreatment while being held in custody.
Back in 2021 Chelsea Gilliam was arrested in Baltimore City on an assault charge.
Gilliam claims the department refused to accept her legally changed name and gender identity.
Before her trial Gilliam says she spent three months incarcerated in an all male dormitory at the Baltimore City Correctional Center, all while being denied hormone treatment.
During that period of time, Gilliam also alleges being harassed by staff and sexually assaulted by another inmate.
Despite reporting the incident, Gilliam claims the department took no action.
Afterwards Gilliam claims to have been placed in segregation at the Maryland Reception, Diagnostic and Classification Center (MRDCC).
The lawsuit says Gilliam suffered a "great deal of anxiety and distress."
Her lawyers are looking to challenge the department's actions as cruel and unusual under the 14th Amendment, alleging violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The attorneys cite a past court case, Williams v. Kincaid, which they say affirms gender dysphoria as a protected disability under the ADA.
Currently the department has numerous policies and procedures in place prohibiting discrimination against gender dysphoria and transgender inmates.

This puts back the gay agenda a hundred years as at least half of their efforts has been to make the gay agenda a normalcy, not an exception to acceptance. By calling it a disability, one caused by the person him/her self, it redefines its mainstream acceptance and makes it an illness and not a lifestyle. OOPS!!

I could not agree more with you.
Most of the people who are getting caught up in a trans identity lifestyle are people with average mental and emotional problems. Their problems are given a metaphorical steroid shot by those in the “trans movement” to include doctors, psychiatrists, politicians and activist types all of whom are self-serving a-holes.
Their mental problems skyrocket the further in they get and they are not only encouraged to continue they will be threatened if they try to back away.
The same people encouraging them in their mental problems also work to make it illegal for these people to get proper mental health help. Even more despicable.
But people don’t focus on these folks doing this. They focus hate on the metally ill people directly. And its easier because most of the hatred is directed at the MEN who are mentally ill. If the mentally ill women pretending to be men were being hated on by society, they would have so many female and societal apologists coming out to defend them.
Yep. Even the alleged President of the U.S. is promoting it and feeding the illness of one of them directly and all of them by proxy and by policy.
Not hard for him though since he fostered mental illness in at least two of his own children.
And I think Joe has mental problems too. Most liberals do. Their demographic has the large majority of people on mental drugs and receiving clinical therapy for mental illness.

I suspect Joe has a serious personality disorder. Something well beyond what Hunter and Ashley have resulting from having had Joe inflicted upon them. Also more serious and dangerous than gender dysphoria most likely.
He has never had a moral compass or a moments reflection on the harm he has caused others as far as I can see.
What gets me is that they get hormone treatment but menopausal women don’t.
Our society is nuts.

I have the same problem. These people manipulate and control language to control thought. The confusion is purposeful.
I have found the easiest thing to do is substitute the word “Fake” where ever you see “transgender”. Therefore a “transgender woman” is a fake woman and thus a man.

Just note that TRANS = FAKE (and mentally ill) thus:
a trans woman is a FAKE woman. A fake woman is a male.
Example: the mentally ill Denver shooter.
A trans man is a FAKE man, thus a female. Example- the mentally ill monster that shot up the little Christian kids in Nashville.
Hope this helps! Also, be sure to talk frankly to your kids about trannies and how dangerous they are. Be nice to them, don't accept their insanity, and pray for them (and have a plan to kill them in self defense).
Had to tell my neighbor who felt bad for a trans kid at school being shunned and I told her, "How can I be forced to accept their insanity when they can't even accept who they naturally are? They need mental health treatment, not sympathy".
Several years ago a wise FReeper said, "Whenever you see the word transgender, substitute the word FAKE for it." That bit of advice has served me well as America slips farther and farther into this pit of insanity.
You are correct they are mental.
However if the proper officials are not going to put them in a Nervous Hospital where they belong and let them run loose and kill 6 people, 3 of which are children I have lost my humanity for them.
Once you kill or harm children it’s over.
Now either put these people in a Nervous Hospital with Nurse Ratched now or I don’t care what happens to them.
I had no idea that denver shooter was trans, I just thought he was a weirdo.
